"how can they remember what theyre being forced to forget..?" ...i was forced to forget how i meant to see this in the theater (heavily promo'd by north dekalb mall's $5 amc) but missed it for a decade cuz its one of those movies astrology zoomers recommend after learning im into ufo shit so i figured itd be bad/dumb, never expecting to inflect keelian ambition, nuance, artistry & dread into the template of shitty 2009 studio docu-horror (no ghost shit). most of this is people lying on couches freaking out but i found its disorienting 10000-layer initiatic mode to be the key to a lock i didnt know i had, shockingly complex & useful within the schema my own specific paranoia. big fan of whatever elias is doing here & milla has marianne williamson energy; mondo-shockumentarys & mkfaces of death were psiops used to terrorize waco, ruby ridge & gulf detainees & something about 21st-c. found-footage thirst for "liminal" single-bulb hallways and forgotten strip mall storage docks seems engineered to traumatize gen z into only feeling "real" on demonic phone-based social media, associating perfectly normal houses, offices, suburbs & schools with implanted trauma & despair. zimabu eter!
