Not interested in even rating this one.
It's obvious intentions seem to come from a "good" place, but it's so poorly put together from script, to production, editing, and final file.
I made a short documentary similar to this, though focused much more on consumerism, when I was at university. And I had the decency (and requirement) to only have it be ten minutes long.
2073 is quite an annoying watch where the best elements are clips from other films…

There are some interesting issues in how the film provides an artistic presentation equal to a modern 3D indie game. You can almost sense that at some point this may have even been a game engine, but the narrative constructed became too esoteric for an independently-controlled adventure to successfully deliver.
I was quite happy to get over the initial iffiness over the artistic stylisation. And it is even easier once you see the characters in motion and understand the level…

Don't exactly enjoy shitting on the little guy for a love-letter effort that took the best part of six years to put together, but ehh...
Huge issues with the animation, especially in regards to model references for the protagonist. Their face shifts horribly around their continually distorting head, their balance is wonky and weird when they walk and move, and the constant use of "cinematic" perspectives makes the simple act of them rising from a chair look like an AI-generated…

Less than the sum of its parts, both in individual setpieces and overall, Dead Reckoning Part One's convoluted style, storytelling and themes, muddy its best bits in chaotic confusion felt narratively and visually.
Bursts of excitement and humour in a Rome car-chase can't erase the sad sense of familiarity, similarly felt in other scenes. But worst of all is the wasted potential in imaginative setups, such as the claustrophobic alleyway fight let down by disorientating cinematography, or the heavily-advertised mountaintop…
