By far and large, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE is my favorite Brian DePalma film. Is it his best? Well, I'd argue that it's in his top three in terms of execution and style. (In fact, don't argue with me; it'll get me upset. And Kittredge, you've never seen me very upset.)

I’ve watched The Ice Storm at least 10 times in the first 15 years of its existence. I obsessed over this film, studying its every shot and performance. In my eyes, it was and is a perfect film — well, as close to perfect a film can get. No false note here, not a frame wasted. That flute just haunts me every. single. time.

Wow. 1961 and these guys nailed it. Look at the colors, the masterful hand-drawn animation, the emotions on the humans' faces. This is impeccable craftsmanship here.
"101 Dalmations" is one of Disney's finest "old-school" animated films.

It doesn’t happen often. I’ll sit through a film in a movie theater that will make me forget about everything going on in my life. Not once will I check my watch or be distracted by audience members or take a bathroom trip.
