this movie got an extra 1/2 star for that one white lion that got absolutely launched by the elephant.
This movie wasn’t needed. I feel like the half-assed love triangle was so bad, I don’t remember scar showing any interest in sarabi and randomly in between scenes suddenly he’s down bad for her?
I really wish the sound mixing was better as well because I couldn’t hear the lyrics to the songs. Finally, I don’t think I would have made it through this movie if it hadn't been for the pumbaa and timon intermissions.

this movie made me feel seen.
It’s beautiful and I genuinely have no bad things to say about it. I find the dual storylines to be done really well, and that final scene was absolutely gut wrenching.

Okay so this movie is visually beautiful, has great performances from the cast, and some awesome costumes!
That being said the ending is completely half-assed and comes to a sudden stop. I would’ve preferred to sit in the theater for a bit longer if it meant the movies plot felt fully developed.

I really wish this movie embraced the strange premise of the film and tapped more into the horror genre. I think it would’ve helped to make the impact of the message behind the film, presented early on in the movie, stronger.
