An astonishing visual picture. Some cliches appear during the film but is a vibrant, delicate, intimate and worthy journey. One can find many references to classic sci-fi films, but in the end, they aren't relevant. James Gray has found a personal signature in this amazing ambiance.

I first watched Boyhood when it was released at the 2014 Berlinale. I wrote a review about it, and my son was five years old at that point. Yesterday I watched with him and it was a totally different, really amazing experience. He's now eleven years old and remembered something about his childhood as well as project himself to the further events of his life.
