Panoramic Images of a Loving Home

I moved into a new home with my family a year ago, and I experimented with distorted panoramic photography in the empty house while nobody was around. I assembled it into a sort of experimental architectural film that then morphed into an expression of loneliness and religious alienation. It's been a hard year, I kept putting the project off because I didn't want to deal with what it meant to me. But it's done now. This is the first film I've made since high school video production class, I consider it my first actual work.

I could come up with a hundred different quips for this but nothing insightful because how do you explain how a work managed to communicate the feeling of your soul being locked in a box and your chest filled with sand?

Your soul broke because you live in a world where you are not, and can not be, because somebody somewhere decided, and you don't know who or why because they aren't one thing, they're everything and nothing, continually melting…

I've seen bad Corman movies with more convincing special effects

    Alien: Romulus

Worthless. Contains no original ideas, but does contain:

    > The dialogue of a CW production.
    > The production value and visual fidelity of a shitty Mandalorian episode.
    > The awkward regurgitation of iconic dialogue from previous films.
    > A score that might as well be sourced from "Epic Synth Music Sci-Fi Action Space High-Quality HD Stock Music" on YouTube.
    > A stale cast of YA stock characters performed by stale actors.
    > Abysmal metaphors for both racism and ableism, in the same character no less.

    Dune: Part Two

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

A short time ago, Denis Villeneuve made a comment criticizing mainstream cinema's over-reliance on dialogue over audiovisual form for storytelling. While I think he overstated it ("I don't remember movies because of a good line." c'mon), I respect the sentiment — I admire the arts of literature and theater and believe cinema can benefit by taking from them and I love and have defended films criticized for being too much like plays, but it has undoubtedly been an overreliance within…

    Consume product.

I didn't expect it to have any feminist meaning better than basic corporate-friendly bullet points, but I'm still aghast at how obnoxious it is about it. And it doesn't function as a story beyond that, all of its conflict relies on this TV-commercial ass grating as hell dialogue about feminism: a cacophony of buzzwords without insight, arrogance and unsubtly while making no point, meant to anger conservatives with flamboyance while having no actual worldview. Its view of gender…
