Dennis Hopper is a massive highlight of this film. Every scene with him is wildly energetic and every line a knockout.

Great Soviet propaganda film about a sailor uprising against their bourgeoisie oppressors. As far as propaganda goes it does follow the actual history decently, until the end where they ommit the crushing of the uprising as well as the death, jailing or exile of pretty much everybody involved. The two main characters, Grigory Vakulinchuk and Matyushenko were hailed as Leninist heroes and martyrs up to and after the Bolshevik revolution roughly ten years after the events of the film.

I think there was too much going on in this as well as trying to live up to the hype of the last two films, I was left feeling pretty bland by the end.
It starts off really strong and stays that way for the first half of the film. Once Kevin Bacon's Character who was awsome and a highlight of the movie is gone it unravels. There were too many themes, styles and ideas pulling in different directions which…
