Absolutely incredible. An essay in 1922 about not only the misunderstanding of anxiety and other mental illnesses, but a feminist piece on the history of female repression. This historical comparison of witchcraft to “modern” (in 1922) hysteria is insightful, heartbreaking, and often pretty dang funny.
