I still love Emilia Pérez upon an at home rewatch and still think there’s an undeniable electricity in the performances, the movement and the filmmaking. Any trepidation, criticism or outright vitriol from certain trans viewers is completely valid (obviously). I’m moreso transfixed by its musicality, power to provoke and Karla Sofia Gascón as the story’s beating heart. ❤️🔥
