Hasn’t Haddonfield had enough!?! Michael Myers comes out of hiding (having made some friends with sewer rats I expect) for another go at the endlessly tormented townsfolk.
This time around, Myers is more weathered than ever, but Gordon Green, McBride, and co attempt to breathe new life into this series as the antagonist makes his way back to the home of his bae Laurie Strode. However, an unoriginal character arc designed to unite the two follows a very familiar trail of blood/corruption and is a complete a waste of storytelling so late in the franchise. The arc does come to a surprising conclusion though and heads into a relatively satisfying ending. Ends is dire in most part, yet still betters the mob rubbish second film. There’s a couple of kills that are brutal (and weirdly cathartic) here too. One guy gets a proper decking. 🎙📀
