I have never really understood ballet but this movie beautifully portrayed the story and emotion behind the dance. I love the story within a story element. There is so much to unpack here. I will need someone to break this down for me. Each story thread was dynamic and intricate. I feel like my ranking would go up after a second viewing but I also don’t know if I can handle this movie again. Horrifying and intense.

Easily one of the best Christmas movies ever made. It is such a classic. One of the most iconic movie scores. Don’t get me wrong, the movie is flawed. It still captures that Christmas atmosphere that makes you nostalgic for this time of year. I watched it on Freeform this time which had fun little commentary bubbles throughout the film.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

A very fun ride! I love that it played into a bit of the campiness of the first one. It was definitely predictable at times but plenty of memorable moments and lines. Daisy Edgar-Jones absolutely served major Helen Hunt vibes and the rag tag crew brought me back to the fun of the original.

Someone said after the movie that there are few times when they feel like the leads need to kiss this badly. There is no way Glen…

If I had a nickel for every time Leonardo DiCaprio had wife issues

I went into this film completely blind and I was stunned! Just absolutely gorgeous to look at and Hans Zimmer knocks it out of the park yet again. I want the scene of Leo getting dunked in the bathtub tattooed on my forehead. I would probably give this 5 stars after a repeat watch.

I saw the 6th one coming but not the 7th. I want to rewatch this on a rainy day. I love the relationship and dichotomy between Morgan Freeman’s wise, experienced detective and Brad Pitt’s young, aggressive detective. They work off each other so well. All cops are bastards but what I think this film achieves is highlighting the numb, careless, corrupt, and violent nature of our justice system. Somerset was right, they do love this. It will not have a happy ending.

Fuck you, Kevin Spacey. Why does he have to be in everything? At least he doesn’t look like himself in this movie.

This movie rocks! I am a fan. I can’t believe I’ve waited so long to watch this. It is an unbelievable cast with amazing chemistry. The cinematography is beautiful and a pleasure to enjoy. Even though I knew some spoilers due to the popularity of this movie, there were still surprises and much to enjoy! I am greatly looking forward to watching Glass Onion without knowing anything going in.

I have never seen the animated Peter Pan. I could tell that I definitely missed a lot of the call backs and nods to the original. My general knowledge of the story did help me follow along and I enjoyed the adventure! Comedy actors playing dramatic roles may be one of my favorite genres. The whole love triangle plot was not my favorite but the excellent cast made up for it. I like that it is possible that the whole story was a dream but then they prove it was not.

Amazing how a movie’s plot can age so poorly but the humor can be so timeless. There were a number of very memorable and quotable moments. It’s sad to remember that even the early-2000s were not a good time for queer representation in film. Strangely enough, this movie was probably really progressive at the time. I definitely had a fun time watching this and I would watch it again! Most unrealistic part is that she played soccer without tying up her hair. That is soccer crimes 101. I did appreciate the Twilight style dream sequence and the Wendy Wu Homecoming Warrior final goal scene though.

Had to do a rewatch on a bigger screen. So fun to watch with other people, especially my brother who had never seen it before. I love how campy this movie is while also being incredibly badass. Some of the best fight choreography out there. Bumping this one up to 5 stars for icon status.

Holy crap! Such an incredible film. This movie is easily on par with Interstellar. I was not sure what to expect when I turned this on. I have always been fascinated by linguistic anthropology but I found myself led on a powerful and heartbreaking journey. I genuinely was not expecting that gut punch at the end. I want to rewatch this movie now knowing the full story but I think I need time to emotionally prepare for that again. Jaw. Dropped. Amy Adams is a gift.

    Zodiac

    ★★

It was fine. The movie itself was good quality but that feels like the bare minimum. Pacing is brutally slow. It has been awhile since I have read up on the Zodiac Killer. I didn’t remember that he was active for only a year or two. Honestly, the real Zodiac is likely not someone who they have not suspected already. The movie felt like it was trying to sensationalize the circumstances but it often failed to produce believable suspense. I…

EASILY the greatest basketball movie of all time. I first saw this movie in high school and it still holds up as one of my favorite sports movies. I love when he asks the team if they remember who won the championship last year and no one remembers. Playing a sport goes so far beyond the game. It gives purpose and community.

The movie is definitely cheesy in the early-2000s kind of way. It could be considered repetitive at times…
