    The complexities of a mother who so clearly yearns for a level of independence that motherhood can’t grant her at this stage of her daughter’s life. Without the separation there is reliability and suffocation. The reliability of having Lacy to be an inappropriate source of an open ear to hear the woes of love and relationships in adulthood leads into the suffocation by Lacy who’s dependability and clinginess to Janet grows by the minute.     Absolutely raw and heart wrenching, Watching the cuts from her rehearsing on stage to her in physical therapy needing assistance with those same movements… the heart pains don’t stop. The vulnerability of showing her seizure from start to finish and the pain and terror in her eyes. I didn’t bring enough tissues to last me through this.

    Despite it being set hundreds of years after War, it still felt like a seamless transition to what the new world is. Seeing history not quite repeat itself, but mirror similar aspects to Rise, has me interested in how this story is going to progress further.

    I also really enjoyed seeing the progression of oral history. Having seen the conception and progression through Rise, Dawn, and War, we know the history that has brought the story to this place. So…
