A very lovely tribute to 20s 30s slapstick comedy. There's a lot of charm that comes through in this film. It's very creative, full of ideas. Most of the gags work, in my opinion. Some may be a bit repetitive, but I laughed.
It's especially the final part that I loved, when the trapper's goal is to hunt 100 beavers. Before that, I think the flaws are more noticeable. But the entire final act is a solid 5/5 of absurdity for me. Everything was perfect, I'm still laughing about the beaver lawyer. By the way, one of the funniest things I think is that the animals are just humans in disguise.
The lead actor, Ryland Brickson Cole Tews, I found him amazing. I really enjoyed his various facial expressions and mannerisms.
I'm impressed by what they managed to do with such a small budget.
