Probably not the wisest choice to watch something as heavy and topical as this after something as bright, colorful, and fun as Barbie, but those are the cards we were dealt with since our go-to IMAX theater decided not to have any Thursday opening night shows for this. With that said, this movie is an absolute work of art with award-worthy performances across the board (notably Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey, Jr.), impeccable storytelling by Christopher Nolan, and some of the best photographed visuals I've seen this year.
It's definitely a lot to process after one long viewing, but it's one that I'm more than willing enough to sit through again. Hopefully in 70mm.
