You know, I almost paid money to see this in the theater - and instead I skipped through large portions in a flight. SO bad - the Maitland's dodged a bullet by passing over the the afterlife. Way too many ideas, stitched together worse than Monica Belucci.

I haven't seen this one in years -- and it's better than I remember it. With Shakespearean senses of how to use tragedy and comedy, it's also visually stunning. (I later discovered that all of the theater scenes are shot entirely by candlelight. Which is bonkers.)
