    I was super excited to watch this after seeing that Tarantino once said he wished he could direct it. The opening was super solid and had me hooked, but after the first 50 minutes, it started to fall apart—tons of plot holes, and it just felt like it didn’t know what direction it wanted to go for the ending.

    That said, the chaos in the action scenes was pretty great for an early 2000s movie. I’m pretty sure Tarantino was inspired by this for Kill Bill.

    shoutout to Ben Affleck for making this film. Thanks to this, the tragedy of the Iran hostage crisis that lasted 444 days and the story of agent Tony Mendez will be remembered for generations. Without this movie, maybe someone like me who didn’t live through that era and isn’t even american, wouldn’t have known about this incredible story. With his third film, Ben Affleck proves he’s a damn good director.

    The must-watch film to kick off 2025, no doubt. And now we’re finally getting the sequel to this masterpiece, five years after the first one dropped.

    Honestly, I don’t even mind the delay for The Batman Part II. I’ve got full faith in Matt Reeves, dude knows what he’s doing. Writing a script for a sequel to that kind of masterpiece? Yeah, it’s gotta be crazy hard. Take your time, Matt. We’re ready when you are.
