Now if this isn't the cutest Disney movie I've seen so far, I don't know. As if 99 puppies and two Dalmatians weren't already cute, the rest of the animals in this film assisting them are also incredibly cute and charming.
And so is the relationship between the two dog protagonists and their human pet couple, as well.
I've seen Aristocats first, and the movies feel somewhat similar, with a group of cute city pets stranded in the countryside, trying…

At first and for certain portions of it, I was lukewarm on it. I had no idea that this was based on Dangerous Liaisons like the historical 1988 adaptation, I watched this mostly because of the actors and the soundtrack (which is exactly my jam). But, it got more interesting as it went along. Ultimately, it does have a really fantastic ending, much better than it maybe deserved or could've been expected.
Also it's so 90s, it's crazy. It starts…

Steve McQueen delivers one of the best and most believable performances in a monster movie that is otherwise very boring and standard, unless Steve McQueen or the Blob are on screen. This is a really rare case were I can 100% confidently say that I prefer the remake. This idea was cool, and I was thinking of all of the experiences I had encountering slimes in every fantasy game I've played, but it really took until the 80s remake to really do interesting horrifying and captivating things and be able to keep the plot interesting.

But it's also a weird tonal mishmash, the pacing is pretty awful in places, and it doesn't even have a protagonist? Let's start at that.
1. The basterds aren't really the protagonists, for quite a long time of the movie they're not even on screen, and we barely know anything about them. Shosanna…

Hey 2025!
Krull is an 80s fantasy film with a number of choices that feel questionable, but also a lot of genuine talent and ultimately, I think it delivers.
At the beginning, it felt a bit slow, and I honestly don't think I felt much of any emotion (despite a lot happening) until the 35th minute when Alun Armstrong and his merry men (including Liam Neeson straight after Excalibur) showed up. Even though they're also kind of stock as characters,…
