Solid Swedish crime thriller dominated by outstanding performances from Rolf Lassgard and Peter Stormare as a pair of chalk and cheese cops investigating the disappearance of a young woman. Plenty of attention to police procedure and the occasional expedient bending of the rules, but also an emotional undertow because of the two men's shared past.

[Has anyone seen the original Jagarna? I'd be interested in finding out more about it. In particular, how its characters and storyline relate to this belated sequel.]
