- You do not Belong Here. This is Wilderness!
- And I am a Wild Robot. Aaaaoooooo!! 🗣
Oh man, my heart is so full right now. I'm sooo happyyyyy. The Wild Robot is an extraordinary film. It’s a heartwarming masterpiece that combines delightful storytelling with rich emotional intelligence. The journey of Roz, the robot who awakens on a deserted island, is more than a tale of survival, it’s a profound exploration of empathy, adaptation, and the nature of community. The narrative beautifully captures Roz’s development from a lifeless machine into a character brimming with emotion, especially of mother and curiosity, appealing to all ages.
If there was one word that I could use to describe this film, it'd be life-affirming. The Wild Robot is a welcome breath of fresh air. What makes this story special is how it uses the perspective of an outsider–in this case, a robot–to help us to consider these themes from an unfamiliar perspective. For example, every parent would agree that the job is long, challenging and occasionally thankless. What struck in me was how a robot arrived at the same conclusion.
Roz and brightbill, you guys won my heart. Fink mere dost, I'm your friend. You can tell me whatever you want to. I have no words for you, Longneck and everyone I love you so much guys. This is the family I want to live with. Perfecttttt.
Every element of the film is flawless. The animation itself is breathtaking. The voice acting by the entire cast is both distinct and remarkably self-contained. Lupita Nyong'o and Pedro Pascal deliver nuanced performances that are always befitting the nature of their characters. Last but not least, Kris Bowers’ majestic score brings it all beautifully and emotionally together.
Overall: It's exceptionally good. It brings the classic heartwarming, emotional, and cute world of animation to life. When told with heart and care, stories like this never fail to leave an impact. The movie is visually poetic, adorable, heart-felt and emotionally rich story about how finding our purpose in life leads to helping others. The way it explores its themes of responsibility, parenthood, self-sacrifice and teamwork with a combination of sincerity and a healthy dose of humor, is simply masterful. Highly Recommend. Also regretting why I didn't watch this on big screen :(
It’s a movie that will leave you thinking, feeling and remembering why You Love Cinema. ❤
