    Boring, mawkish, tawdry, hackneyed, naive and badly acted pointlessness that's a great example of something being made because of who wants to make it.

    Christ knows what Robert Zemeckis is playing at these days, you'd think he'd want to reflect on the many classic films he's made and enjoy a retirement. At least his old pal Tom Hanks makes it bearable.

    A weirdly underrated thriller with Peter Berg directing the pants off of it (the street shootout is amazing) and the actual, pinch-yourself-did-this-really-happen event of Mark Wahlberg being excellent. There's even the stunning casting of Alex Wolff who is worryingly good as one of the murderous cowards.

    "I'm telling' ya, that boat aint gonna float!" is a low-key brilliant line too. Really good film and a great advert for Boston's strength and community.
