Jack: “It’s a TV show, John. Nobody needs to make a documentary about it.”
Locke: “It’s not a TV show. It’s a place where miracles happen. And—and—if you—if you don't believe that, Jack, if you can't believe that, just wait till you see what I'm about to do.”
Jack: “There’s no such thing as miracles.”
Locke: makes best documentary ever
Jack: “We have to rewatch, Kate. We have to rewatch!”
This was everything I wanted it to be. It was fun, funny, and wildly entertaining. But it was also profound in all of the ways the show itself is. There are no shows like Lost. Nothing as gripping or engaging or heartbreaking or funny or emotional in every way. It was always a brave show, willing to take risks, and just about every one of them paid off. The doc lives up to the standard of the show in every way.
Quick footnote on Matthew Fox’s absence: At the end of it all, the show is about letting go and moving on. We should respect Jack’s decision to do just that.
