Wow this is a let-down. Nolan finally let his writing get the best of him. I want to like this so badly because I find this story truly interesting but it just flat out doesn’t work well here. I will admit there are a few very incredible scenes. I’ll also note that the casting is outstanding along with the cinematography, VFX, and sound design. Besides that though most of the movie is very stuffy and overall just unengaging. The unrelenting music and the insufferable snappiness of the dialogue makes the entire film feel like one huge drawn-out montage with no breaks. The time jumping/skipping is distracting and the pacing is disjointed. I respect Chris Nolan and his team a lot but this does not work for me.
