This film is one of those movies so hated that I expected a total shit bomb.
Instead, it ended up being a prescient film about the strange way in which tragedies spark strange and intense narratives which end up changing nothing about the underlying tragedy originally at hand. As usual, well-acted by Rachel Sennot. The movie falters by depending on drama in its direction more than comedy. The dramatic violin that is constantly in the background is better supporting an adult drama and distracting. This element makes the comedy fall flat. Shame.
