My favorite Dreamworks movie of all-time is the first How To Train Your Dragon. It still is my favorite 14 years running. DreamWorks has mad a handful of great movies since then such as the second HTTYD, Kung Fu Panda 2, and Puss in the Boots: The Last Wish. They've made some pretty good ones like Megamind, Rise of the Guardians, HTTYD: The Hidden World, and The Bad Guys. And then there's trash like Trolls.
So when I say this is the best movie to come out of Dreamworks since How To Train Your Dragon, I don't say that lightly.
The best animation of any Dreamworks movie. Some of the best vocal performances of any Dreamworks film. And Kris Bowers' score sits proudly next to John Powell's score for the first HTTYD, Hans Zimmer's score for The Prince of Egypt, and Alexandre Desplat's score for Rise of the Guardians.
Lupita Nyong'o gives the best vocal performance in an animated film I've heard by an actress probably since 2016. Just a remarkable talent.
Shame Dreamworks is never gonna make movies as great as this ever again. LMFAO
