I Could Go on Singing 1963
"I'm always a sellout!".
There's not a Judy Garland movie that goes by were I don't want to reach through the screen, give her a hug and tell her that everything will be okay.
This was her last film ♡ her humour really shines through, so witty and authentic. Love her so much x

No 💜
If this wins best picture at the oscars, you best believe I will be writing a strongly worded email to the academy. This having 13 NOMINATIONS is my 13th reason 🫡🔫
I don't like writing reviews that are hateful because I still think of movies being someone's art and their life for an extended period of time when developing and making the film. But. God, this was woful 😭 so here's a list of things I didn't like…

Bridget Jones's Diary 2001
I refuse to believe that Renèe Zellweger is actually American. Like wdym she doesn't actually speak like that and says things like 'chuffed' or 'rubbish'?? She also looks British if that makes sense 😭

Driving Miss Daisy 1989
"You're my best friend, Hoke. I'm going to miss you".
Movie #25 of watching every Oscars best picture winner. While the performances from both Morgan Freeman and Jessica Tandy are stunning, I can't help but think that the year 1989 had a lot more moving/groundbreaking pictures. Like Dead Poets Society, When Harry Met Sally, Steel Magnolia's, Batman... Where as Driving Miss Daisy feels very safe and simplistic, which don't get me wrong I do quite like but they just don't compare to the other contenders for the year 1989 specifically.
