a one hour photograph.
The one thing that frustrates me about DoPs in Black British film is that they aren’t da most immersive bunch, they don’t do a lot to take you into the world of our characters. It’s always multiple roof shots of council estates and though the architecture of council flats are pretty, those shots don’t do much for the narrative but establish where this story is being told.
