The Watchers is a slowburn horror that most definitely paid off for me. I didn’t expect the ending to be as impactful as it was, let alone the subtle twists being executed wonderfully. Great performances made it even better. It’s been fun seeing Olwen Fouéré pop up in the genre more and more since she was in Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022), and I really think this was a great and deserved role for her! An underrated Scream Queen in my eyes, as well as Georgina Campbell who stays devouring her roles in horror projects.
I really love the story here, I love every reveal, and I can’t wait to see what Ishana Night Shyamalan does next. A very strong debut in my eyes.
