Rifftrax rating: ***** Before we downloaded this, the Rifftrax gang noted that the due to copyright issues, the Rifftrax version It’s A Wonderful Life had to be edited down to a length of 107minutes. For the most part I don’t think we noticed much missing and had been laughing our asses off all the while. Then we get to the scene where Clarence intervenes before George jumps off the bridge. We get a couple moments with the two of them drying off and establish that Clarence is an angel and then suddenly it cuts to George ecstatically running down Main Street wishing everything a Merry Christmas. There’s no “Hey Burt my mouths bleeding” and no “Zuzu’s petals!” - The entire ‘never been born’ section is removed! Now maybe if they had specifically that particular chunk was lifted out wholesale we might have been less keen on checking it out, but that would have been a real shame. Coz aside from the moment of the unexpected whiplash smash cut brain crash logic jump we all thought this was absolutely hilarious, one of the best yet from Rifftrax. Besides if you’re at all interested in watching the Rifftrax version you probably know the movie well enough anyway... HOT DOG!
