Naturally I am late to the party, but this is indeed as great as everyone says. An incredibly inventive story, spellbinding animation, and a clear love for the character. Where Marvel’s Spider-Man feels corporate as hell, this whole thing feels fresh and progressive. I’ve always liked Spider-Man, but this was the first time I felt myself truly wanting to be Spider-Man. I can’t really think of much higher praise than that.
