12 angry men, Vatican edition.
In all truthfulness tho this is an incredible movie. Amazing camera work (every frame is wallpaper worthy), beautiful music, top-level acting (Fiennes <3) and 10/10 pacing make every scene in this movie thrilling, even when the plot isn’t actually heart stopping.
The nasty politics of large religious organisations may not be the freshest cinema trope, but definitely not outdated either (and as a believing Christian tired of church I relate to it strongly).

My expectations were incredibly low and yet somehow it still managed to disappoint me.
Apart from the leads it’s basically a hallmark movie (in a bad sense)
