To be honest the violence in this one is too much for me. I have just so much tolerance for it in a film . The script is tight and Gosling keeps me invested in it to the end but I probably won’t watch it again unlike many of his films.
Carey Mulligan does what she can here but it’s one of those roles for an actress that doesn’t seem like it would be particularly challenging or fulfilling.
Bryan Cranston is good in a small role his strength as a character actor ( that’s how I see him) adds a little extra to the story that would be missing without him. Ron Perlman and Albert Brooks are also excellent.
Gosling just driving and the cinematography is my favorite part.
