Spider-Man: Into The Spider Verse was extra unique, stylized, and very fluid. Every second of this film was a visual treat for my eyes. I loved the animation and how they’ve combined multiple styles into an extraordinary world that gave visual sense even the action was kicked way into high gear. The score was also great! It fit perfectly with the tone of the scenes they played in and worked to further draw in the viewers. Everything’s really fitted to the setting,
It also has good comic references, really deep moments that nearly made me cry. The humor was really charming and enjoyable to watch. Shameik Moore did an amazing job as Miles Morales and he really captured a perfect relatable essence that possibly every teen (or grown ups) might relate to. Jake Johnson as the voice of Peter Parker was a brilliant casting choice. He nailed the nuance and emotions with just his voice very well. I loved his interactions with Miles and him mentoring Miles was actually a good spin on his character. Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy was pretty cool and it’s exciting to see her and Miles’ relationship develop more in the sequel.
Overall, it’s an amazing movie to experience! Highly recommended.
A bit of a warning tho, particularly for people who are sensitive to light and flash. As with the most superhero flicks, the action here can get frenetic, but the opening sequence of this movie has a lot of flashing so be prepared for that. 👌
