I gotta keep it real, there was a guy fast asleep and snoring loudly in the theater, and he left a few minutes before the film ended. He was a legend.
The amount of times I said "let's go!", busted out laughing, had my mind warped, and loosed my juice is not enough to prove how entertained and compelled I was. The manic energy, the surreal moments, the unique style, the gory and macabre imagery, afterlife worldbuilding, family drama, glorious stop-motion and practical effects, dance/musical sequences, Danny Elfman's score, the ensemble cast, callbacks to the original film, I ate it all up. Tim Burton is so back. Not that he went anywhere. Except probably director jail.

P.S., rest in peace, Bob. He was a real one and the best new character of this film apart from obviously Wolf Jackson.
