Kandice Breinholt’s review published on Letterboxd:
Style-wise and creeps-wise, this was super good!
BUT…
tbh, it drags a little.
Would have been absolutely amazing if it was just an increasingly creepy crime thriller about a satan-worshipping serial killer.
Alas, it’s just another devil movie that tries its best to convince you it makes sense in the end when, in fact, it doesn’t (because devil possession movies just DO NOT make sense and, as far as I can tell, never will). Leaving with a lot more questions than answers. Leaving disappointed.
Still rules in an atmospheric way and because of that, it’s still heaps better than others like it.
