This movie really hit me. Eastwood’s slow pacing pulled me in, allowing the moral ambiguity to sink in on a deeper level. Courtroom dramas have always fascinated me because they make me feel like I’m right there with the jury, deciding what’s real, what’s honest, and what feels most truthful. And that ending, wow, leaving me thinking about it long after. Nicholas Hoult was phenomenal in this too—he really brought something special to the role.

Durasi 2 jam terasa terlalu singkat untuk mengakomodasi kompleksitas cerita dan jumlah karakter yang ada di film ini. Setiap karakter diberi subplot yang cukup signifikan, tapi hal itu justru membuat narasi terasa tumpang tindih dan melebar ke berbagai arah. Fokus utama cerita jadi kabur. Jika diadaptasi menjadi serial, mungkin setiap subplot bisa dieksplorasi dengan lebih mendalam dan alur cerita akan terasa lebih rapi. Meski begitu, pengalaman menonton film ini tetap terasa unik, terutama karena atmosfernya sangat mirip dengan drama Korea. Menonton ini di layar lebar benar-benar seperti melihat drakor versi film—nuansanya familiar, tapi tetap memberikan sensasi baru.
