All I can say on initial viewing of Longlegs is that this film is pretty compelling from the audio/visual medium— however, the lackluster and almost overwhelmingly overwritten screenplay in how it explores the supernatural held me back. I'm not sure I liked the "supernatural" elements and was more than happy with the detective-focused psychological thriller the film starts as. Mostly because I'm very tired of the whole "supernatural satanic cult" as an explanation for the payoff; that element feels very uninspired— I'll give this an 8/10, and I anticipate rewatching it later.
