I was totally shook seeing Nicholas Cage with long hair and shadow considering I've never seen him do that before or since and while I think its a good look I still find it rather off-putting. Beyond that, "Con Air" isn't necessarily a film you find ranked among the greatest action films nor even the most uniquely-crafted, but as a piece of mindlessly indulgent 90's action schlock produced by Jerry Bruckheimer it never ceases to be thoroughly entertaining for audiences neither. Sometimes you just need a comfort film that never fails to fulfill particular cravings and with "Con Air" as a form of a cinematic Taco Bell Chalupa it isn't noteworthy, but damn you still enjoy it.
