As a martial artist, I must say that this is one of the best staged films in the genre, but also manages to deliver top-notch thrills. This is more than just a showcase for some brilliant stunt work, it's incredibly well directed and actually entertaining narratively. Easily one of the best releases Vinegar Syndrome has ever put out!

Any excuse to get Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield in a film together is a good one. I wouldn’t necessarily call this film disappointing, because it’s quite good and very romantic, but feels like there was an opportunity for them to lean harder into the non-linear storytelling and turn this from a moving, albeit saccharine love story, into something far more rewarding. Nonetheless, Pugh and Garfield are brilliant and the story is sound enough. I kind of expected to not like this, so I was pleasantly surprised.
