It’s been over 6 hours since I left the theatre and I still haven’t been able to stop thinking about this masterpiece of a film. Everything about this movie is unconventional: The story structure, the music and the editing all felt incredibly unique and inventive. The pace is extremely quick from the first shot and it doesn’t let down for a second. It requires your full attention and doesn’t treat you like you’re stupid. And it’s not until the end until you really understand how all the pieces come together. Even then, multiple viewings will only add to your full understanding of the story, and because of this I cannot wait to see this again.
A movie hasn’t left this much of an impression on me in such a long time. Cillian Murphey’s performance should absolutely win him an Oscar and hopefully we’ll see Christopher Nolan finally get that Best Director win.
That scene in the School Gym…. Holy shit that was perfection.
