The reinvention of the Halloween franchise in 2018 felt like a breath of fresh air. Since that, the quality has dropped fairly significantly.
Halloween Kills was daft but it did something that this film did not. It had plenty of Michael Myers. We get about 10/15 minutes of decent Myers content in Halloween Ends.
What people want going into a Halloween film is plenty of gory kills and a stand off between Laurie and Michael. It just felt to me that Halloween Ends was too focused on the ‘copycat’ killer.
My biggest issue is the film does not do justice to Jamie Lee Curtis. The original Scream Queen deserved a far better send off than this!
