elphaba walks into a room, and everybody’s like ‘pretty girl, let’s hate on her.’ in all seriousness, as someone who’s not well versed in the world of wicked, this was everything—each musical number kept outdoing the previous one, the costumes were to die for, ariana grande and cynthia erivo were born to play glinda and elphaba, and jonathan bailey has chemistry with just about anyone and everything. but i must say that the ballroom sequence was my favorite, had me fighting back tears…i guess there really is lesbianism everywhere for those with eyes to see.
