The Room Next Door 2024

This film is a vibe. With not too subtle parallels to climate change and the hope for continuation in the face of death and destruction, Almodóvar’s first English language film is a (intentionally?) choppy look at how friendship and art is the answer in the face of darkness. It’s made for the over-educated liberal elite with anxious tendencies. Not sure that it’s for everyone, but I dug it, even if it wasn’t my favorite.
