Sydney Sweeney’s Screams…INSANE.
The acting was good and i really liked the cinematography. They made good use of symmetry, lighting, and camera movements.
The actual plot is nothing special but i cant deny that i was entertained. Especially since I initially thought i wouldn’t like this film seeing as i’m not the biggest fan of religious horror or horror in general.
The parts that were meant to be scary were pretty predictable and didn’t have much shock factor. However, i typically feel that way about most horror films i’ve seen so in not sure how much that says about this film.

Woww. That was a lot take in. I’m gonna gather my thoughts and come back.
Update:
I’ll start off by saying that the performances from Karla Sofia Gascon and Zoe Saldaña were absolutely amazing and definitely the best part of the movie. I kept hearing people say Selena Gomez should get an Oscar for her performance but i completely disagree. Her performance wasn’t bad but i wasn’t great either; it for sure isn’t Oscar worthy. The songs she sings are also my least favorite out of the whole movie. Zoe Saldaña is for sure the highlight of this film. Her ability to deliver such an outstanding performance with a lowkey shitty script and poorly written songs is very impressive. In my opinion she’s the one that deserves that Oscar Nomination.
This film was a great concept with a lot of potential but unfortunately was poorly executed; particularly when it comes to the writing (especially the songs). It didn’t sound good most of the time, lacked rhythm, and was often times too repetitive. The worst ones imo were the sex operation song and “Lady”. You would think since this is a musical they would hire professional singers but it’s no secret Selena Gomez isn’t the best singer at least anymore, and im not aware of Karla Gascon having any musical background. Same goes for Zoe but she sounded the best out of the three.
Another thing i want to mention is Selena’s accent. As a latina and someone who is fluent in Spanish, her accent was incredibly distracting and her Spanish just wasn't very good. Whether that was on purpose or not, it was one of the reasons i ultimately didn’t love the film as much as i thought i would. She sometimes sounded like a robot and i feel like she wasn’t connecting with the words, there was occasionally a lack of emotion, maybe due to the fact that she didn’t know what she was saying.
I didn’t hate this film, but considering how excited i was after seeing its success at Cannes, i was a bit disappointed.

This was basically fear street and totally killer. Still confused about why there were two of Quinn? It wasn’t really giving early 2000’s but they tried.

Weird, twisted, and absurd but pretty entertaining. This is only the second Yorgos Lanthimos film Ive seen but it already just feels so Yorgos. You can tell he really let loose with this one. Overall I liked it and thought it was cool, was surprised to see many disagreed. A lot of people said it was confusing and i totally get that. But to me it was still an enjoyable film. The only part i hated was the SA in the third story. I just don’t know if that was necessary and it was disturbing. I live for Emma dancing on screen; and Sweet Dreams is the perfect song for this film.

This was more confusing than the first one.

Not a fan of the way this was filmed. I love a good action movie but some of the fighting scenes made feel…dizzy, disoriented? Idk but it wasn't my favorite. Certain creative choice were distracting and confusing. I also felt like the dialogue was really lacking. This film ended up being surprisingly boring to me despite how much was going on.
