I went in expecting a technological marvel, a brilliant score, and, most importantly, terrific performances from an exceptional ensemble. What I wasn't expecting however, was the final hour, when the dramatic efforts and written word combined to generate something I didn't know Nolan was capable of.
Coupled with a harrowing score and deft editing, Nolan and his collaborators managed to create an hour of perfection where every move felt ominous, calculated, but also devastating; as a mans dreams and nightmares collide showcasing that, for all the brilliance and hard work contained within that "unreachable" dream, is a world now at the hands of its own creation — a nightmarish landscapre spearheaded by egotiscal figure heads that will do anything to align themselves with power.
