It's hard not to have reservations going into this film, namely due to its awkward timing. The Apprentice undoubtedly brings to mind the all-too-ecstatic dissection exhibited by Oliver Stone's W., a biopic of George W. Bush which was released to the world before he had even left office. Donald Trump may not currently be president, but it nonetheless feels rather preemptive to see his story on screen when we have yet to fully flush the toilet upon his parting.

I'm grateful this collection of shorts has finally been released for the U.S. audience, (albeit in a very limited fashion) but I'm beyond dismayed that the English dub is the only version of the collection available. Many of the voice performances in the dub just aren't up to par, and it makes watching these films a bit of a struggle.
