It's bizarre to me that this movie wasn't done better, and the biggest problem here is the writing. It's an important story that should be told, but somehow it barely manages to present any characters as actual people beyond their function within the plot while also failing to properly address how many people in Hollywood enabled these things (either actively or passively) for years. It's OK as a journalism movie and it's OK at representing a true story on screen. But Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan could probably read a shopping list and make it engaging, so it still works.
