If you're looking for horror, the kind of horror that will make your head turn away, then Pyewacket isn't the one you're looking for. First of all the story is slow, very slow even from the start. I could live with that if at some point you get hardcore horror scenes, but that never happens. I don't know if it was a lack of budget or something else but this is not enough to make this a movie to be remembered as creepy. The acting was good, mainly from the daughter and mother. There was potential to make this story creepy but they clearly failed at it. The poster looks like you're going to get something eerie but you won't unless you’re scared of shadows. Pyewacket is just another average Shudder movie, nothing special about it.
