David Lynch "I made this movie Eraserhead about my feelings of being a parent"
So Jennifer Lynch, what is this second movie you ,made going to be about? "It's about generational abuse."

This movie is a slow one, and it does drag in the middle. Not sure how I'd fix it because of how much of it about Bob teaching Rabbit how to be a killer and it does have a payoff.
The movie has this tense unease throughout, while not supernatural is has this feeling of unease, like were not watching people, and yet these are people.
For a while I wondered why they needed to have the scene of Bob being abused, and I realized that the abuse made him the way he was, and Bob is passing that evil down to Rabbit. And that is evidenced by the twist as well.
I don't want to say I hated the last little bit, but I also didn't like it. It just was more heartbreaking than it was anything else.
I can say having seen this and Boxing Helena I do like Jennifer's work more than her Fathers. She has her dad's edge but she tells stories a bit more straightforward. I just don't care for DAvid's surrealism.
