sure dennis quaid was a misogynist, but how many other bosses give you every other week off with no communication expected from you?

sorry that the aliens took out the colonists, but like…why they always gotta be colonizing? 👀🤔

i tried to enjoy this more, but it really didn’t do much for me. i did appreciate the solid acting, especially from the ever-great hugh jackman, and the uniqueness of the premise. however, the plot and writing were too muddled for my liking and i didn’t care about the characters at all. a good way to describe it is that it felt like a less coherent cloud atlas. the futuristic scenes were too abstract to grasp me, although i can understand…

shawshank for the new era. a beautiful story of acceptance and making the most of an unchangeable situation. great ensemble cast with standout performances from both domingo and macklin. knowing that most of the cast played themselves elevates it even more.

    oh i’m in

but in all seriousness, this was so much fun. the worldbuilding and sci-fi premise is so good that I was willing to forgive weaker character arcs, but i really cared about each character thanks to solid dialogue and thoughtful performances (michelle yeoh >>). definitely a movie i’ll rewatch. dare I say this was a…ray of sunlight for cinema? 🌞

mark duplass being off the rails deranged and trolling his victims by running away and laying on the ground is hilarious and i won’t apologise for it. love how they developed his character in each episode. this kept the show from feeling stale, which was a trap this easily could have fallen into. six episodes was just enough.
