It's unbelievable that I had never seen this film before, but I can now see why it's considered such a Christmas classic and definitely one of the best movies of all time; it's a masterpiece! There's nothing new I can say about such a highly regarded movie, but it's so wonderful to see such a beautiful celebration of life, love, and kindness. George Bailey is a perfect character (and this is clearly James Stewart's best performance), such a kind soul, looking for meaning... and maybe this season is all about realizing how much our life is worth, surrounded by the people we love, those whose life we have changed for the better, even if we don't always notice it.
This is a perfect film, and the ending made me sob. Definitely a Christmas classic for me now!!
